International Trade and Forfaiting Association (ITFA) joins BIMCO's 25 by 25 Campaign for eBills of Lading

Banking and financial institution association ITFA has become the latest supporter of BIMCO’s 25 by 25 Campaign to help accelerate the adoption of electronic bills of lading in the bulk sector.

André Casterman, Chair Fintech Committee, ITFA said “I am very impressed by BIMCO's commitment to move the transport and logistics industry into 21st century digital practices. Such a move is extremely welcome on the banking side as financial institutions ought to reduce operational costs and mitigate fraud risks when handling trade documents. Through the DNI (Digital Negotiable Instruments) Initiative that was established in 2019, we are supporting the industry embrace advanced policies and technologies to make this a reality in the most interoperable way. BIMCO’s and ITFA's efforts are aligned and will pay off.”

The International Trade and Forfaiting Association, ITFA, is the worldwide trade association for companies, financial institutions and intermediaries engaged in global trade, forfaiting, supply chain and receivables financing.
